Movers & Shakers: In The Room with Madison Campbell
Before the launch of season 5 of The Room Podcast, we are so excited to introduce a four-part mini series: Movers & Shakers, where Madison and Claudia sit down with early-stage entrepreneurs and influencers to hear their stories. In this week’s episode and series launch, we sit down with Madison Campbell, Co-Founder and CEO of Leda Health, a health and wellness startup turning the conversation around sexual assault into actionable change lead.
A company created for survivors by survivors, Leda Health provides the care and resources needed for a full recovery and works towards bettering the many systemic shortcomings surrounding sexual assault services. We chat with Madison on her journey to founding Leda Health and her mission and vision for the future of healthcare and wellness. Let’s open the door.
As a sexual assault survivor herself, Madison founded Leda Health to be a sort of one-stop resource and information center for sexual assault survivors. With the goal of changing the landscape of sexual assault prevention, care, and healing, Leda Health provides a plethora of short-term and long-term resources as well as works with hospitals, organizations, law enforcement, and legislators.
With a strong emphasis on providing immediate response and help, Leda Health gives access to mental health resources for all 50 states and an exam location map that users can use to immediately find a hospital to receive sexual assault care and attention. The team is also beginning to provide physical testing kits to survivors in their geo locations. Beyond real-time care and support immediately after an assault, Leda Health also offers long-term mental health resources, including healing circles that are completely free of charge and virtual to survivors.
Leda’s Health success in providing digital care shows how effective digital healthcare can be in providing tangible and tactical care for those struggling with mental health, whether it be anxiety, depression, PTSD, and more. Madison also believes that digital healthcare is adapting to meet the needs and expectations of the younger generations.
Instead of the pain of booking appointments weeks in advance and filling out a stack of forms at the doctor’s office, the process of receiving care and treatment must be streamlined. Madison says that this generation expects efficiency, transparency, and accessibility in booking appointments, going to the doctor’s office, and receiving care.
As a platform made by and for survivors, Leda Health is changing the narrative of what health care and information-spreading looks like.
We are so excited to continue our Movers & Shakers series with three more young entrepreneurs.
